Can I wear contacts with a popped eye blood vessel?

I kinda just noticed it now lol, I was studying for my bio test tmr and I look into the mirror and theres a red dot on my left eye on the left side of my eye white stuff. Can I still wear contacts or go swimming (phys ed tmr) How long does it take for it to go away and what caused it?
