Psychologist/Psychology?

See your School Counselor and take Vocational Interest Inventories! Before you settle on anything, figure out WHERE you can get a job with that degree! Too many people go into Psych courses because it's "cool" studying others....In my work experience (20 yrs as psychotherapist with very troubled adolescents), the psychologists with just a B.A., just do psych testing, that nobody much pays attention to, as they already know the information, from working with the adolescents and their families! I got an MA and Ed Specialist degrees in Guidance and Counseling and LOTS of additional training! I gained a great respect for the training and work of psychiatric social workers. Research all allied fields! YES! Volunteering not only looks good on resumes, but also gives a lot of good training/experience! GO FOR IT!
