Question about ADD and medicine?
Alright, I take vyvance 60mg and unlike other people I have never had any side effects to it. But that's not really what this is about. I'm almost out with this prescription and I was thinking about just laying off it at least until college starts up. The reason it has taken me so long to want to go off it is because of how I act when I go off it for day or two. Basically when I'm off of it, I don't have much energy. I feel like a slug and just don't have motivation to do any work. I just want to sit on the couch and play video games or get on the computer. But when I am on it, I will do any yard work i need to or anything. SO... if I am off it for a while and let it get out of my system, will I go back to acting normal and have my regular energy back? I'm guessing the only way to know for sure is to just quit taking it and see?
Some of my yuppie neighbors look at me like I shouldn't live in neighborhood, what gives?
I am single and live in a very nice newer development. In fact, I was one of the first people to buy a home here. All the yuppies stated moving in and treat me like an outcast. I kinda laugh, because a lot of them had to sell their homes 1-2 years after moving in cause they couldnt afford them. I paid mine of in cash at age 39. Maybe its the fact I don't dress like a yuppie and drive an older piockup and harley and have long hair? Anyway, should I even care?
If I can't join the US Army can I join the Canadian or British Army?
I'm 15 and freshman in high school. I go to a technical/trade school for plumbing which I start next year. Does my recent history of having to do inpatient in a psych hospital and outpatient which I'm currently doing. Also, I have ADHD,Aspergers Syndrome,Seizure Disorder, and asthma. Do any of these disqualify me from joining? At first COD Black Ops campaign made it convincing I wanted to join the Army. But I realized I wasn't serious. But now I got the thought again and I think I'm serious. I still play Black Ops but it doesn't give me that feeling anymore. By the way, I did inpatient for depression and suicidal thoughts(Couldn't get a girl so it led to depression probs). I'm 5'5 and 148+ lbs. Do you think they'll still accept me? Look, I played football for my high school but left in the end because I was failing Phys Science. And I tried out for baseball but got cut because they only had *15* uniforms. Why wouldn't they accept me? If I can't be a soldier. Kill me becasue most of my dreams and desires are dead
Gpa med school grad school question?
I have a bachelor's in bio but my undergrad gpa is low. I only decided i wanted to go to med school later on in my college career. So I decided to go to graduate school to make myself more competetitive and enrolled in a 2 year masters of science in biology program. I started out strong with a 3.6 gpa, but this past semester I took two really hard physiology classes, medical physiology and advanced physiology. I got a B in med phys but I just found out I got a C in adv phys missing the B by only a few points. Really disappointing because I worked hard in that class. I have another year left and since I have not taken many credit hours I can bring my gpa back up to 3.5 by next semester. It just dropped low to a 3.2 or so. But my question is do I still have a change at applying to med school getting the C in my grad program? I am just so disappointed because I worked hard. Advice..
Can psychologists or therapists give instruction on medication?
I was seeing one psychologist for a short while for therapy. She told me that she specialized in medication even though she was not authorized to prescribe. I was on one medication that my actual psychiatrist had put me on. She instructed me to stop taking it, go to a physician she knew and get a prescription for a different specific medication and told me what dose to start at. This made me rather suspicious. Is this legal? She didn't write the prescription, but gave instructions on what to take, what not to take, and how much to take. I didn't think psychologists had any kind of authority to tell you to stop taking something. She seemed a bit crazy herself actually.
Stolen Phone.No Sim Card?
This really annoying kid in my Phys Ed class has a t-mobile G2 and he always carries it around in his sweater and it always falls out of his packet. so im planning on stealing it and sell it since i have at&t, but can it be traced if i take out sim card, destroy it and turn off the phone for a while? how can i get it from not being traced.
Opinions?? Would the following be a good reason to switch to taking Lithium...?
Lithium is tried and true. However, there are potential drug-drug interactions to be aware of and lots of monitoring to be done to make sure you're taking the proper dose. If you're disciplined and responsible then you can make this work. If you're lazy and not able to stay on top of it then I wouldn't advise it.
